The Buckeye State is the Birthplace of Aviation, with Columbus as its capital and largest city. This Midwestern state specializes in capital goods (goods used to make other goods). Since Ohio resides on the Corn Belt, agriculture also plays a strong role in its economy. Health care is also notable with several flagship clinical hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals of Cleveland. Some large corporations that have headquarters or factories in Ohio include Procter & Gamble, Jeep, and Smuckers.
