  • Ohio

The Buckeye State is the Birthplace of Aviation, with Columbus as its capital and largest city.  This Midwestern state specializes in capital goods (goods used to make other goods).  Since Ohio resides on the Corn Belt, agriculture also plays a strong role in its economy.  Health care is also notable with several flagship clinical hospitals, including the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals of Cleveland.  Some large corporations that have headquarters or factories in Ohio include Procter & Gamble, Jeep, and Smuckers.

Ohio offers opportunities whether you want to work for-profit or not, and InternZoo lists both types. Also, InternZoo provides internship advice with tips for writing a stellar résumé and using the interview as a time to show off your talents rather than having it an obstacle to your internship.

Having an internship is extremely helpful for students' learning purposes, but also helpful for employers who require or desire a student with prior working experience and knowledge of the industry.  In other words, get moving and check out all of the opportunities in the ‘Zoo!
