North Dakota

This northern state has the pleasure of having three nicknames: the Peace Garden State, Roughrider State and Flickertail State. While the capital is Bismarck, most of North Dakota’s population live in Fargo. Agriculture is the largest industry here, but petroleum and food processing are also prominent industries. Probably the most recognized company based in North Dakota is Bobcat, a manufacturer of farm and construction equipment.
