The North Star State has most of its population in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area, also known as the twin cities. Minnesota’s economy resembles that of the United States as a whole in that there is an incredible diversity of industries. A list of large and recognizable companies, including Target, UnitedHealthGroup, 3M, General Mills, and Best Buy, emphasizes this point.
