  • Michigan

Michigan has four nicknames (like Pennsylvania): The Wolverine State, The Great Lakes State, The Automotive State, and the Winter Water Wonderland. Bordered by five lakes, this Midwestern state is the center of the American automotive industry, with giants like General Motors, Ford and Chrysler residing in Detroit. Michigan also has leading hands in information technology, life sciences and advanced manufacturing. Other large companies include cereal makers Kellogg’s and pharmaceutical colossus Pfizer.

With such a diversity of opportunities both in Detroit, the state’s capital Lansing, and elsewhere, InternZoo lists these positions in abundance. Also, InternZoo provides internship advice with tips for writing a stellar résumé and using the interview as a time to show off your talents rather than having it an obstacle to your internship.

Having an internship is extremely helpful for students’ learning purposes, but also helpful for employers who require or desire a student with prior working experience and knowledge of the industry. In other words, get moving and check out all of the opportunities in the ‘Zoo!
