The Prairie State, also nicknamed the Land of Lincoln, is a very populous state, with most of its population living Chicago (although the capital is Springfield). Illinois’ industries are numerous and diverse, ranging from aircraft with Boeing, food with McDonald’s and Sara Lee, construction and mining with Caterpillar Inc., chewing gum with Wrigley Company, and electronics with Motorola.
