Want an internship where you can make a real difference in an exciting, history-making political movement? 82% of Americans agree that America has become so polarized between Democrats and Republicans that Washington can't seem to make progress solving the nation's problems. Unity08 is a bi-partisan movement for Americans deeply concerned with the polarization of our political system. An internship with Unity08 will give YOU the opportunity to work in a campaign-like atmosphere and have substantial input in the implementation of the Unity08 College program. You will also have an opportunity to assist in many facets of the office including ballot access, website development, and member correspondence. Job Duties: • Assist the National College Coordinator in developing and implementing ideas and plans to increase college involvement in Unity08 • Keep social networking sites (Facebook, Myspace) updated, and help communicate with interested people on these sites • Assist Ballot Access coordinator with any needed research • Help answer member emails • Help with daily office duties This internship is open to all students of all majors who are available to come to our D.C. office on a regular basis at least two or three days a week. Unity08 is a bi-partisan political movement attracting Americans deeply concerned with the polarization of our political system. Our goals: 1. Goal One is the election of a Unity Ticket for President and Vice-President of the United States in 2008 — headed by a woman and/or man from each major party or by an independent who presents a Unity Team from both parties. 2. Goal Two is for the people themselves to pick that Unity Ticket in the first half of 2008 — via a virtual and secure online convention in which all American voters will be qualified to vote. 3. Goal Three is for the delegates to that convention to select the issues which are crucial to America’s future and the questions on those crucial issues which the candidates should address fully and candidly.
