Join the editorial staff of Advocate magazines in Dallas, Texas, for a fall internship, and learn about the excitement and pressures that coexist at a monthly magazine. It’s both a stimulating and relaxed environment that will give you plenty of hands-on journalism experience. We’re looking for writers, web editors, copy editors, designers and photographers, and are open to other job descriptions you might pitch to us. Because we are a small company, we can offer only unpaid internships, but because we are a small company, interns have the chance to be involved in the meat of magazine work. We will also work with your university in order for you to receive credit.

Each month, nearly a quarter-million residents of Dallas’ most vibrant neighborhoods read our national award-winning urban living magazines. Our four magazines are delivered to front doorsteps in Lakewood/East Dallas, Lake Highlands, Preston Hollow and North Dallas, and placed in newsstands throughout the city. Neighbors depend on us for stories they can’t find anywhere else: Entertaining, engaging stories about their homes, families, neighborhoods and lifestyles.
