    Informal Education Internship

    Job duties include: Demonstrating various science experiments and games, and interpreting hands-on animal displays; working indoors in a classroom and outdoors in the field, getting wet and/or sandy; helping guide campers through lessons and tour; walking long distances (1 mile) on field outing; working with fellow interns and camp staff to create games and activities; assisting campers during snorkel, surf, and other water experiences; and prepping supplies for camps. We are looking for someone who: Wants to work with kids in a fun learning environment; has an interest in marine science and education; is punctual, reliable, and flexible; has access to transportation (to La Jolla, Mission Beach, and Pacific Beach); and has experience (but not required) as a strong swimmer, snorkeler, surfer, and/or kayaker.
