    Cultural Awareness Program (CAP) Manager 8/1/09

United Planet is a highly innovative and entrepreneurial non-profit organization devoted to fostering cross-cultural understanding and friendship and supporting communities in need worldwide. United Planet is looking for a Cultural Awareness Program (CAP) Manager to join our Boston team for 6 months from August, 2008. As a vital part of the UP team, the CAP Manager will be responsible for the promotion and development of the innovative CAP program. Job responsibilities: • Manage the CAP Program • Recruit CAP volunteers locally, nationally, and internationally • Monitor all activity in the CAP volunteer database • Screen and prepare all volunteers who are to give CAP presentations • Manage the CAP volunteer database by matching presenters to groups interested in CAP presentations • Maintain excellent relationships with alumni CAP volunteers and recipients • Troubleshoot any issues volunteers may encounter while preparing and executing a CAP • Update, improve, and expand the CAP program's materials and website Qualifications: • Stron g written & verbal skills needed • Ability to work independently • Creative, Innovative, & Efficient • MS office knowledge • International Experience required • Language skills a plus
