    A Medical /Health Program in NEPAL- for students and volunteers

    Volunteer Service & Support Nepal (VSSN) and Primary Health Care and Resource Center (PHCRC) jointly offer On-the-Job and field Placement Training (A Medical Internship Program ) for international and national academic groups, pre-med and individuals. PHCRC is a community owned program located at Chapagaun Village Development Committee of Lalitpur district. It has come across to the current level by successfully passing through many shapes and structures. Guiding Principles: " Health is not merely an issue of doctors, social services and hospitals. It is an issue of social justice" Access to Primary Health Care: We provide an universally accessible primary health services to all the people irrespective of their ability to pay. Community Participation and Partnership: We have model of community participation of individuals, families, and communities in strengthening the organization for their own heath and welfare. Inter-sectional Coordination: We interconnect other related sectors and aspect of national and community development issues with health care interventions. Appropriate Technology: We use the technology that is scientifically sound to deliver health services and we are sensitive to the positive cultural practices and ethics, adaptable to local needs and acceptable to those who apply it with the principle of self reliance with the resources the community can afford.     Volunteer Service and Support Nepal

    MISSION STATEMENT VSSN is an organization dedicated to providing year-round programs for international volunteers to interact in development process by involving in different activities which support to enrich the lives of deprived children and women. HISTORY Volu nteer Service and Support Nepal (VSSN) was established in 2001 and it is on going programme running under Center for Environment Protection and Human Resources Development (CEPHRD). VSSN started supporting some of the less fortunate children of the country, in an effort to improve their education and development at the grass roots level, by awarding scholarships for primary and secondary schools and strengthening community organizational capabilities. A concentrated effort was made to help and develop the managerial and organizational capacity of local institutions, communities, and individuals. Efforts were made to increase the number of community-based projects in some area of Nepal. VSSN also works together with some international and local organizations. WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN US?
