    LAS PALMAS FOUNDATION Mission Statement: Las Palmas Foundation is a California, nonprofit charitable corporation dedicated to acquire, develop, rehabilitate, and support affordable housing. The 501 (c) (3) organization was created to increase and improve housing for low to moderate income families, mentally and physically challenged persons, single parent, elderly, New American and Native American individuals. Overview of Social Services: Las Palmas Foundation is an affordable housing development corporation that specializes in enhancing the lives of residents in affordable housing communities through social service programs. Currently, Las Palmas Foundation serves over 6,000 residents at 35 affordable housing communities across California. At these apartment complexes, comprehensive services are delivered to all interested residents at the on-site community centers. At these centers, culturally sensitive services are provided to the most needy low income populations: Single parent families, large families living on welfare, senior citizens living on a fixed income and mentally and physically challenged individuals. Las Palmas Foundation develops and implements programs and services, designed to provide residents with new opportunities to learn, excel, become self-sufficient and become productive members of their community. Services are provided in multiple languages and include: mental health services; health services, technology/education classes; community advocacy; parenting classes; job training and placement; financial literacy classes; food distribution; and child care.
