    Green Corps

    Green Corps was founded in 1992 by leading environmental advocates with an important mission: to train the next generation of environmental leaders while making a difference on critical environmental campaigns. Green Corps' niche is working at the grassroots level, bringing new people into the environmental movement. We train talented young people to become environmental leaders while making a real impact on important issue campaigns. Over the last fifteen years, Green Corps has graduated more than 200 emerging environmental leaders from our yearlong Environmental Leadership Training Program, with eighty-five percent of our graduates continuing their careers in the environmental and social change field. Today, our graduates work as executive directors, field directors, campaigners, advocates and grassroots organizers with leading regional and national groups such as Friends of the Earth, Washington Toxics Coalition, The Wilderness Society, League of Conservation Voters, Rainforest Action Network, Dogwood Alliance, U.S. Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG) and Greenpeace. Since our founding in 1992, Green Corps has partnered with more than 75 environmental organizations, provided critical field support to one hundred campaigns, and secured dozens of significant victories in conservation, corporate accountability, and public health.
