    Greater Washington Women’s Network: A Timeless Connection A Non-Profit Organization Overview: What is it that makes for a timeless connection? It’s the people, the places, the sharing and the camaraderie. Everyone has a full and busy schedule with work, family, and other obligations. For a few hours each month, we share our knowledge, friendship and service. Join the Greater Washington Women’s Network, GWWN. We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month as we celebrate the diversity of women. In determining how to assign your most precious resource-time, choose an organization that is committed to empowering, encouraging and developing your career and business skills. Mission: The Greater Washington Women’s Network, GWWN is dedicated to the overall advancement of women through education, community service and networking. GWWN will help its members realize their potential by presenting educational programs that simulate growth and success. The organization will also facilitate mentioning opportunities to empower members to become more effective personally, professionally and in their communities. Vision: We are an organization of diverse women working towards the advancement and promotion of our members through education, community service and networking. History: GWWN was created in 1995, by a group of women who sought to bring together professionals to share, learn and network with one another. Their vision was to advance the business skills of all women. The focus has changed to include career and professional women. GWWN is a member operated organization in which women gain valuable experience, information, business and leadership training and recognition. We seek to encourage the interaction of women in many careers and vocations. Affiliation: GWWN is a local chapter of the National Association for Female Executive NAFE. It was founded in 1972 and NAFE is the most powerful women’s network in the world.
