    We are a San Francisco Bay Area based public relations firm, formed in 1986, specializing in media relations for the restaurant and the specialty food product industries. WHAT WE DO: We assist our clients in marketing their restaurant or product by presenting it to media in a way that will attract coverage. We promote special events that will gain attention from the media and customers. We do this with an emphasis on highly personalized attention to the needs of our clients and we work to insure that our activities fit in with the client's existing marketing program. Our success comes from our attention to detail and an excellent working relationship with and knowledge of media. We never employ account executives; you work with the owners. WHO WE ARE: Fortune Public Relations’ owners are Debby Fortune and Thomas Walton who, collectively, have 50 years of marketing, management, promotion and public relations experience that includes eight years operating a $2.5 million a year specialty book retailing chain in Northern California and four years handling the event media relations and cooking show promotions for KQED, San Francisco's public television and radio station.
